The stud finder offers a range of scan modes, including Stud scan (0.5", 1", 1.5"), AC Scan (2''), and Metal Scan (2.36''), providing the flexibility to detect different materials and depths. The Stud scan mode precisely pinpoints the center of studs, while the AC Scan mode is tailored for identifying wider objects. Furthermore, the Metal Scan mode swiftly detects the presence of metal, ensuring confidence when locating plumbing behind walls.

To use the device, simply place it on the surface of the wall, press the Power Button to turn it on, and hold the Scan Button for 2-3 seconds to calibrate. The calibration is complete when the bars decrease, and a buzzer beeps once. In Stud mode, keep the device flat against the wall to calibrate, and in Metal/AC mode, hold it in the air for calibration. Then, slowly move the device across the wall, ensuring it remains flat, and avoid shaking or lifting it during operation. When the signal bar reaches its maximum and the beep alarm is at its loudest, you have located the center of an object. Mark this spot with your pencil and proceed to select the Metal Scan function to determine if the object is metallic. If it is not metallic, you have successfully identified the center of a stud.
