The Zircon SuperScan A1 advanced stud finder, featuring the new and revolutionary Target Control (TC) Level 1 Technology, is designed to provide accurate and reliable stud detection. This innovative tool is tuned to find clean, wood studs while effectively filtering out metallic false positive objects, such as plumbing, conduit, straps, brackets, or ducts, that may be hidden behind the surface.

One of the key features of the SuperScan A1 is the LoLevel Indicator, which signals the presence of dangerous, deep, and less dense false positive targets. This function helps reduce the risk of accidentally drilling into objects like plastic piping and PEX tubing, enhancing the user's safety and preventing potential damage.

The SuperScan A1 offers two distinct detection modes: TC and StudScan. The ColorTrip Display provides a convenient and intuitive interface, illuminating the screen in blue when in TC mode. This mode enables the user to identify the center, edges, and direction of wood studs, as well as 'safe-to-drill' zones, by utilizing the new 'Trust but Verify' technique. When the TC mode is turned off, the tool will switch to StudScan mode, which can detect the center, edges, and direction of both wood and metal studs.

The Target Spotlight and SpotLite Pointer features of the SuperScan A1 are designed to provide visual cues to the user when the center of a stud is detected. The Target Spotlight illuminates on the screen, while the SpotLite Pointer shines a light on the surface being scanned, helping to precisely locate the stud.

The Target Control (TC) Mode is a revolutionary feature of the SuperScan A1, allowing it to locate the center, edges, and direction of wood studs, up to 3/4 inch (19 mm) deep, without detecting metal objects. This mode enables the user to identify 'safe-to-drill' zones between adjacent drywall screws, nails, or protector plates.

The StudScan Mode, on the other hand, can detect the center, edges, and direction of both wood and metal studs, also up to 3/4 inch (19 mm) deep.

Furthermore, the SuperScan A1 is equipped with the WireWarning Detection feature, which continuously alerts the user to the presence of live, unshielded AC wires up to 2 inches (50 mm) deep. This function enhances safety and helps prevent accidental damage to electrical wiring.

Lastly, the ACT (Auto Correcting Technology) automatically corrects common errors that may occur during the scanning process, such as when the scanning begins over a stud. This feature ensures accurate and reliable results, making the SuperScan A1 a valuable tool for professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike.
