The Zircon StudSensor Pro LCD deep scanning stud finder is an easy-to-use tool that allows you to quickly locate studs. It senses changes in subsurface densities to pinpoint studs and joists, while continuously detecting hot unshielded AC voltage. The tool also features patented DeepScan® dual sensitivity scanning, SpotLite® Pointing System to indicate targets, over-the-stud indication, and TruCal® instant calibration. This versatile device can be used for a variety of tasks, such as hanging pictures, cabinets, mirrors, shelves, and hooks, as well as installing electrical boxes for outlets and hanging ceiling fans.

The stud finder can detect the edges of wood or metal studs or joists up to 1 1/2 in. (38 mm) deep. The WireWarning alert feature indicates the presence of hot electrical wiring, providing an additional layer of safety. The tool comes with a Zircon instructional "How-to Guide" Z-Card and detailed instructions.

It's important to note that the sensing depth and accuracy can vary due to factors such as moisture, materials, wall texture, and paint. The device is not recommended for use on lath and plaster. In Stud Scan mode, it can find the edges of wood or metal studs up to 3/4 in. (19mm) deep through typical drywall construction. In DeepScan mode, it can find the edges of wood or metal studs up to 1 1/2 in. (38mm) deep through thicker construction materials like plywood, paneling, or tile over drywall. Regardless of the mode, the tool continuously detects the presence of AC voltage.

The patented SpotLite Pointing System indicates the location of the targeted studs, while the patented over-the-stud Indication feature alerts you if you start over a stud.
